Have you ever wondered what an intimate relationship really
is? How do you know when you have achieved intimacy? Have you ever felt
alone when you were with someone you loved?
"Enmeshment"--What is it?
Relationships can be satisfying, nourishing
and trusting or they can be "enmeshed." Enmeshed relationships can
feel close for periods of time, then become distant and then close again.
In enmeshed relationships people may feel smothered, fearful, untrusting,
angry or disrespected and unheard. The pain from their unmet needs can
be devastating. It's not surprising that they move away from each other,
only to return again, hoping somehow to find the support they need.
Intimacy
